Peter Smith got the Jackrabbits off to a great start with a 77-yard touchdown run on the game's first play from scrimmage. Smith, who rushed 207 yards, added two more first half touchdowns, as Forney (2-0) went on to beat Seagoville 42-27. Forney quarterback Branton Blake added 192 yards of total offense including three second half touchdowns. Seagoville (0-2), which scored 20 fourth quarter points to erase a 35-point deficit, was led by quarterback Duston Owens, who rushed for 180 yards and threw for 146.
