Thursday night at Williams Stadium in Garland was just another episode of the Peter Smith Show. The Jackrabbits fell behind 14 - 0 in the first four minutes of the game with Sachse. Sachse jumped to a 14-0 lead on Henry Hunter's first touchdown and Travis Bergin's return of a fumble on the ensuing kickoff just 14 seconds later. After that Peter Smith scored 5 touchdowns to lead the Jackrabbits to a 52 - 42 win over Sachse. Smith picked up 173 yards on 30 carries with 124 of the yards and four touchdowns coming in the first half. Quarterback Blake Branton gained 201 yards on 16 carries and scored one touchdown for the Jackrabbits. Lesley Booker returned an interception 37 yards in the third quarter to break the 35 - 35 halftime tie for Forney. Tucker Burke kicked a 36 yard field goal in the 4th quarter.
Sachse's Henry Hunter's carried 17 times for 81 yards and four touchdowns to lead Sachse.
