The Jackrabbits out rushed, out passed and rolled up more first downs and yardage but could not sustain a scoring drive.The defense was great all night containing the powerful Bulldogs until the very end when the Bulldogs scored the clinching touchdown after a 6 yard punt set up the Bulldogs at the Jackrabbits 18 yard line in the final minutes of the game. Late in the 4th quarter the Jackrabbits were driving downfield but after several false start penalties moved themselves out of scoring range. Peter Smith was the workhorse on offense for the Jackrabbits rushing for 136 yards. The Jackrabbits picked up a safety after a bad snap that went over the Bulldogs quarterbacks head and he had to take a safety. This game was within the Jackrabbits grasp all night.
