The Jackrabbits took the opening kickoff and drove down field with Landon Hartwick going in from the 1 yard line at 6:13 of the 1st quarter.
Thomas Moreland’s kick was good and the Jackrabbits took an early 7 – 0 lead..
On the Next possession the Jackrabbits went 3 and out and had to kick back to Whitehouse.
White house drove the ball down field and tied the score on a 24 yard pass with 10:09 left in the 2nd quarter..
Whitehouse kicked off to the Jackrabbits and Josh Hughes made a great return running the kick back to the Whitehouse 41 Yard line,.
On the first play Landon Hartwick threw to Casey Lawrence who took the ball down to the 9 yard line at 9:50. The Jackrabbits ran 2 more plays and Hartwick found Casey Lawrence open in the end zone for the score.
Thomas Moreland’s kick was good and the Jackrabbits led 14 to 7 with 8:09 left in the 2nd quarter.
On the ensuing kickoff Whitehouse ran the kick back to their own 34 yard line.
With 5:36 left in the half Whitehouse scored their 2nd touchdown from the 31 yard line to tie the score at 14 – 14.
On the next series the Jackrabbits go 3 and out and have to punt back to Whitehouse.
With 1:28 left in the half Whitehouse had a 4th and 5 from the 28 yard line. The Jackrabbit defense stiffened and the Jackrabbits took over.
The Jackrabbits were moving the ball but Hartwick was intercepted and Whitehouse returned the interception 70 yards to score, making the score 21 – 14 in favor of Whitehouse.
Later in the 3rd quarter the Jackrabbits scored from the Whitehouse 28 yard line when Hartwick rolled to his left and motioned to his receiver to go down field and threw a perfect strike for the touchdown to Zane Young.
Thomas Moreland’s kick was good and the score was tied at 21 -21 with 55 second left in the 3rd quarter.
Whitehouse moved the ball down to the Jackrabbit 14 and completed a pass for a touchdown with 10:14 left in the game giving them a 28 – 21 lead.
The Jackrabbits were moving the ball but Hartwick’s pass was intercepted at the 5 yard line.
The Jackrabbit Defense held and after a great punt return by Andre DeRosier started from the Whitehouse 42 yard line with 2:57 left to play.
Andre DeRosier took a screen pass from Hartwick and ran it down to the 18 yard line with 2:42 left in the game.
On 2nd and 5 from the 12 yard line Hartwick found Justin Price in the far corner of the end zone for the score.
Thomas Moreland's kick was good and the score was tied at 28 with 2:16 left in the game.
Whitehouse ran the kick back to their own 29 yard line with 2:02 to play.
Whitehouse managed to move the ball to the Forney 17 yard line with 12 seconds to play.
The field goal try was wide to the left but a Forney defender was call for offsides and Whitehouse got a second chance this time from the 12 yard line with 7 seconds to play. The kick was good this time and with 1 second to play Whitehouse led 31 to 28.
Whitehouse kicked to the Jackrabbits and after some exciting laterals the game came to an end.
The Jackrabbits looked good on offense considering several starters were on the sideline injured.
