Frisco Centennial Titans

The Forney Jackrabbits and the Frisco Titans battled to a first half tie before the Jackrabbits finally got on the board with a 3^rd quarter with a 27 yard field goal by Thomas Moreland.  Later in the 4^th quarter Landon Hartwick threw a strike to Zane Young at the 5 yard line and he scored the first of the Jackrabbits three 4^th quarter touchdowns.  Thomas Moreland’s kick was good and the Jackrabbits took a 10 – 0 lead early in the 4^th quarter.  The Titans answered with a 25 yard field goal.  On the next series the Jackrabbits broke the game open when Andre DeRosier running to his left broke free up the sideline and cut back across the field for a 72 yard touchdown.  Thomas Moreland’s kick was good and the Jackrabbits held a 17 – 3 lead.  The Titans answered with a touchdown after a good kickoff return and a face mask penalty set them up deep in Jackrabbit territory.  The Jackrabbits countered with another touchdown on a great run up the middle by Peter Smith from 8 yards out.  The try for point was blocked.

DeRosier, who finished the game with 170 yards on 18 carries also had a 46 yard scamper in the 4^th quarter.  Landon Hartwick threw 20 times completing 16 for 204 yards.  Nine Jackrabbits were on the receiving end of Hartwick’s passes.  Hartwick was poised as usual picking up secondary receivers.  Austin Williams, Richard Romero and Andre DeRosier each caught 3, T.J. Barnes caught 2 and Casey Lawrence, Zane Young, Chad Laury, Braydon Marquar and Brandon Medlock each caught 1 each.  

Peter Smith was very impressive picking up 43 yards on 7 attempts.
