Gainesville 13 - Forney 3
For the 4th week in a row the, Forney Jackrabbits scored first on a 35 yard Thomas Moreland field goal. The Jackrabbits were poised to take a 10 - 0 lead, but from the Gainesville 1 yard line fumbled the ball into the Leopards end zone for a touch back. Late in the 2nd quarter the Jackrabbits again moved into scoring position but with just 1 second left in the half, Gainesville managed to tip Thomas Moreland's 40 yard field goal attempt.
The Leopards scored their first touchdown on their first possesion of the 3rd quarter on a 67 yard, 12 play drive with Da'Ron Calhoun scoring from 5 yards out. The Jackrabbits blocked Steven Arenas try for point. After holding the Jackrabbits deep in their end of the field Kellin Kemp returned the Jackrabbit punt 26 yards to the 13 yard line. The Jackrabbits defense held driving the Leopards back to the 26 yard line where Arenas attempted a 43 yard field goal but the kick was short. On the play the Jackrabbits were called for roughing the kicker and the Leopards had new life at the Jackrabbit 15 yard line. On second down Jacob West scored on a quarterback keeper diving the Leopards a 13 to 3 lead.
Gainesville's offense was contained most of the game by the tenacious Jackrabbit defense allowing Gainesville just 74 yards rushing and 62 yards passing. Gainesville is the #1 ranked 3A team in the Metroplex.
The Jackrabbits were unable to run the ball losing 16 net yards rushing and were forced to rely on their passing game. Landon Hartwick under pressure all night managed to complete 19 of 27 passes for 142 yards but suffered 2 interceptions. Bobby Lind caught 7 passes for 55 yards and Tony Trotter caught 8 for 47 yards. Mekelle Webb led the Jackrabbits rushing the ball 13 times for 41 yards. The Leopards recorded 8 sacks, 2 interceptions and recovered 2 of the Jackrabbits 4 fumbles. The Jackrabbits recovered 3 of the Leopards 4 fumbles.

| Both teams combined for just 125-yards of offense and four turnovers in the first half. Forney's Jorden Elder recovered a second quarter fumble that resulted in a Thomas Moreland 35-yard field goal for a 3-0 halftime lead. |
| Gainesville took its opening drive of the second half 67-yards in 12 plays with Da'Ron Calhoun scoring from 5-yards out and a 6-3 lead. One possession later, Kellin Kemp returned a punt 26-yards setting up Jacob West's 13-yard touchdown run. |
