Gainesville 13 - Forney 3

For the 4th week in a row the, Forney Jackrabbits scored first on a 35 yard Thomas Moreland field goal.  The Jackrabbits were poised to take a 10 - 0 lead, but from the Gainesville 1 yard line fumbled the ball into the Leopards end zone for a touch back.  Late in the 2nd quarter the Jackrabbits again moved into scoring position but with just 1 second left in the half, Gainesville managed to tip Thomas Moreland's 40 yard field goal attempt.

The Leopards scored their first touchdown on their first possesion of the 3rd quarter on a 67 yard, 12 play drive with Da'Ron Calhoun scoring from 5 yards out.  The Jackrabbits blocked Steven Arenas try for point.  After holding the Jackrabbits deep in their end of the field Kellin Kemp returned the Jackrabbit  punt 26 yards to the 13 yard line.  The Jackrabbits defense held driving the Leopards back to the 26 yard line where Arenas attempted a 43 yard field goal but the kick was short.  On the play the Jackrabbits were called for roughing the kicker and the Leopards had new life at the Jackrabbit 15 yard line.  On second down Jacob West scored on a quarterback keeper diving the Leopards a 13 to 3 lead.

Gainesville's offense was contained most of the game by the tenacious Jackrabbit defense allowing Gainesville just 74 yards rushing and 62 yards passing.  Gainesville is the #1 ranked 3A team in the Metroplex.
